-all 50 states conducted their own audits and canvassing procedures. all 50 states certified the results because no significant abnormalities were found anywhere. All the blogs telling you there was mass fraud do not have any actual evidence to back those claims up, just misleading “doesn’t this look weird?” kind of claims.
-the results were generally in line with the pre-election polling, which had Biden ahead by 10 points
-it was always expected that in some states, Trump would be winning in early vote counts, and Biden would pull ahead later once the mail-in vote counts were added. The GOP actively discouraged their voters from using mail-in ballots and told them to vote in-person on election day. GOP State Legislatures INTENTIONALLY set up the rules so the in-person votes were counted first, so they could spin a narrative about “injecting” fake votes that would flip the lead. And Trump was in on that plan, which is why he attempted to announce “Frankly we did win the election” on election night, long before the vote counts were anywhere close to complete. Ironically it was Fox News’ call of Arizona for Biden that really fucked up this plan, because Trump was not ahead in the electoral vote count when he tried to pull that stunt. You can’t convincingly say “I won” when you’re not even in the lead.
-Biden won the WH but the Dems lost seats in the House. They barely made gains in the Senate, and lost multiple Senate races that they were anticipated to win according to polling. If Dems rigged the election, why would they ONLY rig the Presidential race and perform so badly in the Congressional races? It’s all on the same ballot so it makes no sense that they would make millions of fake ballots that help Biden with the WH but also help Republicans win more House seats.
-dozens of lawsuits were brought attempting to challenge the results. they all failed, mostly for lack of any evidence backing up the fraud claims. The best they could come up with were affidavits, which are very poor evidence when there’s nothing physical to back them up. (much like this website, it’s very easy for anyone to write a fictional account of something with no evidence.) People claim “you can’t lie on a signed affidavit”, but absolutely you can, because who’s going to go trough the effort to prosecute you for it? The court isn’t going to waste their time prosecuting a bunch of poorly-written affidavits when it’s infinitely more more efficient to just dismiss them as insubstantial evidence. People also claim “but the evidence wasn’t heard in court” which is just not true, there are dozens of opinions written by the judges in these lawsuits, where they comment about the evidence in great detail and how it was severely lacking in substance and couldn’t hold up to scrutiny.
-Trump consistently had one of the lowest approval ratings of any modern President. And he bungled the covid response horribly. Maybe worst of all, he CAUGHT COVID HIMSELF shortly before the election. He spent months trying to convince Americans that covid is not a big deal, it’ll just go away on its own, he’s doing a good job handling it, then he caught covid himself and nearly fucking died, which was unmistakable proof that he didn’t know what the fuck he was doing and couldn’t even protect himself or his own family, much less the American public. Honestly I think he would have won reelection if that hadn’t happened. Most people have memory-holed it already but that was such a monumental fuck-up that it should really be no surprise he lost.
There just is no solid evidence of a big fraud conspiracy. Republicans are telling you there is because this is the whole Republican project now: they want to weaken democracy as much as possible because they hate participating in a system where they can lose. So they are going fixate on it until every Republican hates elections too. And this is how democracies die – bad actors kill faith in the democratic process. If there was any actual evidence, some of it would have help up in court somewhere. Remember that many of the judges in these cases were appointed by Trump. Including 3 SCOTUS judges, and even with a 6-3 conservative majority the SCOTUS would not even touch the election because they know there’s no evidence of fraud and they know that them meddling in the election could unravel all of US democracy. And here we are months later, and where’s the proof? It still hasn’t materialized. Just grifters like Mike Lindell feeding you bullshit from “anonymous hackers” and other garbage that, yet again, cannot hold up in court because it is not actual credible evidence.
US democracy is in an incredibly dangerous place right now. I think I’m going to see it die within my lifetime. They will lie to you endlessly to convince you that democracy is bad and broken and you should be fine with it ending because that means all the people you hate don’t get to vote anymore. But once they take away your democracy it isn’t coming back.
